I was please to read that Gloucester house prices are up 4% on where they were a year ago and are 10% higher than 2016.
Online property site Rightmove has published data this month covering house prices in Gloucester and the immediate surrounding areas and their figures make for interesting reading.
Most of the properties sold in Gloucester over the last year were semi-detached houses and had an average price of £220,774. Terraced house sales prices averaged £176,453 and for detached properties it was £322,280.
That gave Gloucester an average house sale price of £219,732. This compares with £224,434 in Barnwood, £251,306 in Longlevens and £243,737 in Abbeymead.
So, in the past year, Gloucester house prices have risen by 4% and they are up 10% from 2016 when the average sales price was £199,123.
